Lauren Glazin, AMFT
Staff Clinician
Lauren believes in empowering her clients to understand themselves as fully as possible in a safe and comfortable environment. More than just talk therapy, Lauren feels strongly about the collaborative process with her clients to gently unlock their past and excel them to a fulfilling present and future.
Lauren is originally from London and has spent the last ten years living and working in New York City. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University and recently completed her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. She is AAMFT accredited.
During her graduate training, Lauren developed a deep clinical focus on trauma and family systems, gaining extensive experience in couples therapy and working with clients who have experienced traumatic events within their families. She also specialized in supporting children and adolescents with anxiety and led groups for individuals struggling with depression, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment.
In addition to her education, Lauren is Level 1 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses Solutions-Focused Therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and Attachment based therapy techniques in her work. Her expertise on relational and family dynamics led her to specialize in couples therapy—helping clients work through betrayal, infidelity, communication issues, and crises. When betrayals occur, it can feel overwhelming, and Lauren excels at helping clients navigate the worries and stress that come with those feelings. Her approach emphasizes understanding and connection to foster healthy, resilient relationships.
Before transitioning into mental health, Lauren began her professional career in the corporate world, working in multiple big tech companies, which provides her with a unique perspective and understanding of the many challenges her clients face. She believes that the foundation of effective therapy is a strong, trusting relationship, and she is committed to providing a clear, focused, and straightforward space for growth and healing. Lauren is passionate about helping individuals and couples build relationships that are meaningful, loving, and resilient. She believes there is life after betrayal and that everyone deserves an incredible partnership. She aims to work collaboratively with clients to make that a reality.
